We made the short walk from the campsite to the local purveyor of frozen confections and sampled their Extreme Cookies and Cream! Then to atone we walked in the opposite direction to see the powerhouse at the outflow and the massive dam towering over us. It gave us a pause as we contemplated the power of the water contained behind that huge structure. We also wondered at the possibility of getting a tour of the powerhouse but realized we’d missed our window of opportunity since Robyn, the incredibly helpful ranger who might have been able to arrange something for us had gone home for the day, and is off tomorrow. Guess we’ll just have to pursue other wonderful adventures!
