We awakened to a beautiful day and celebrated with a walk out to the beach before packing it up and moving on. We left Hoeft without definite plans, just knowing that we wanted to continue our Michigan rambles. Something just drew us north. Up US-23 then north on I-75 over the Big Mac bridge and onto the Upper Peninsula. We got ourselves a site for four nights at the Rivermouth Campground in Tahquamenon Falls State Park. We stayed here for two nights in September 2012 in our Silver Shadow. We’ll enjoy returning to some of the same places and exploring new things. Meanwhile we’re giving T@B tours and meeting new friends. We did get to walk along the river shore for a bit during last light this evening. It’s beautiful here!
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
