There must be something magnetic about this place. There’s so many pretty places and interesting things to do in Michigan but as soon as we started to near Mackinaw we felt a pull to the Tahquamenon River. We’re staying in Tahquamenon Falls State Park in the Rivermouth Campground just a short walk from the spot on the riverbank where we witnessed a most colorful sunset this week in September 2012 when we were here in our Silver Shadow.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
