Karen’s brother Michael also made the trip to Cincinnati to honor Aunt Nancy. With family he’s been visiting some special Cincinnati spots such as Zip’s in Mount Lookout Square, Skyline Chili, and Findley Market where our grandfather, Granny Butch, worked as a meat cutter for many years! It’s fun getting text messages from him as he enjoys exploring the ancestral home even as we are making tracks back to Tween Creeks.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
