This morning marked the end of our autumn sojourn at Tween Creeks. When we arrived in early October the trees were mostly green and temperatures were moderate. Despite some unseasonably warm days recently we’re now experiencing cold mornings, frost on the deck, and bare trees. We’ve both gotten some studio time, made a little progress on organization of our paper files and digital photos. We’ve enjoyed our house guests, first Susan then Gary. We celebrated Thanksgiving with a savory Lamb Stew. We’ve had a good time with friends and neighbors and taken care of some more mundane issues. We’re now Cincinnati bound through a rain storm on a mission to gather with members of Karen’s family.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
