To Cabrini and Back

Road Trip

Five of us ventured out this afternoon in search of adventures. Linus tolerated a stop by The Quarter Stitch, a yarn shop, while Mama, Dada, and Nana picked out a pattern and yarn for a hand knit sweater for him and Grandpop chose a yarn for a handwoven scarf. We did indeed make it all the way to Cabrini Playground for a glorious interlude on familiar play equipment. And Nana & Grandpop found a geocache. We all paused at Jackson Square to listen to some live music and Greg & Rachel did a bit of impromptu dance!

The purpose of our trek to Strawberry Hill House in Twickenham in the southwest of London was to see a recently recovered bronze bust of the Emperor Caligula but we discovered so much more in the recently restored 18th Century “little Gothic castle” built by Horace Walpole.
