Who Needs a Tour Guide?

Louisiana, Road Trip, States

Over breakfast today Ben started asking questions about Geocaching. Next thing we knew the three of us had embarked upon a tour of the area guided by geocaches. We explored areas that had once been frequented by pirates, that boasted incredible burgers and friendly people, where amazing traditional jazz is played in the evening, where Brad & Angelina live some of their time, and where Banksy, a legendary Grafitti artist created the mural, Girl with Umbrella ,that is now valued between $2K and $1.1 million! Who needs to hire a tour guide when fellow geocachers are so willing to share local knowledge?

Caligula at Strawberry Hill

The purpose of our trek to Strawberry Hill House in Twickenham in the southwest of London was to see a recently recovered bronze bust of the Emperor Caligula but we discovered so much more in the recently restored 18th Century “little Gothic castle” built by Horace Walpole.
