Old Haunts and Good Friends

Family

It’s been a fun week in this town in which we grew up and raised our kids. We both remember Williams Park as a great place to rendezvous with our friends back in our high school days and Karen and siblings were members of the City Harmonica Band that performed in this bandshell! We revisited Midtown Sundries that is now the Rowdies Den and reminisced about the early days of the Rowdies when we were official “Fannies.” We driven past and visited many former haunts and had a great time hobnobbing with good friends. We’re now leaving that realm behind and are enroute to the cruise port. We’re on a bus right now with  several of our fellow dancers heading to our chance to sail away.

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
