What a Cruise!

Family

What a week aboard the Carnival Valor! We were thirty-seven in our group, almost evenly matched in dance leaders to followers! So many of us have been together on cruises in the past that the day of embarkation is a grand reunion of friends. And then there are new friends to get to know. This time we hale from California, Texas, Arkansas, Ohio, Maryland, Vermont, and Massachusetts as well as Florida and North Carolina. We had a great time dancing aboard ship, exploring in Puerto Plata, St Thomas, San Juan, and Grand Turk. We found geocaches in two ports, checked out world famous banana daiquiris, partied at Margaritaville, had several satisfying meetings of the Mojitos, and had a great time. Now we’ve had some wonderful goodbye hugs and have made plans for some mid-year visits. Now it’s time to disembark and face the chilly weather and the world awaiting us.

We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.

Wicked The Musical

Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
