Moonlight Stroll

Florida, Road Trip, States

It was a day of varied activities. We purchased an ebook on minimalism which prompted a decision to clean out our utility drawer. UPS delivered a package containing our replacement license tag holder and Steve installed that. We headed out to the beach for a while this afternoon and just relaxed for a bit. We stopped at the Ace Hardware in Titusville for some washers and decided it would be a fine place in which to just go poking around. We made a trek to the Camping World in Cocoa and purchased a TV antenna. Don’t expect to use it a lot but expect we’ll appreciate it on occasion. To celebrate National Margarita Day, we had dinner and libations at Old Florida Grill. We capped off the day with a moonlight stroll through the campground and a couple of cool conversations with fellow travelers.

Imperial War Museum

Imperial War Museum

London’s Imperial War Museum in Southwark founded even as the First World War raged offers insights into the myriad costs of the wars of the 20th and 21st Centuries. It was a most disquieting but valuable reminder of the myriad costs of war.

London’s Canals

London’s Canals

The two of us have long been fascinated with the history of canals and their role in the history of transportation, industrialization, and more recently recreation. This stay in London has given us new opportunities to explore and learn more about how canals contributed to the growth of this great city and how they are being used and preserved today.

National Portrait Gallery

National Portrait Gallery

It was a most educational visit to the newly renovated National Portrait Gallery at Trafalgar Square in Central London. We were intrigued with the contemporary approach to presenting British History.
