The Morsø 1125

Family

This Morsø wood stove has been one of the absolute delights of our house at Tween Creeks through the years. We have loved its  contemporary lines and porcelain finish. It has been a beautiful centerpiece to our living area and has provided us with wonderful warmth and cozy ambience on many a winter’s day. Then came the day of the last chimney cleaning when we learned it was no longer safe to use the chimney. After much discussion and research we’ve decided to make the switch to a propane fueled stove. Today we ordered an Empire stove that should do a superb job of keeping us warm and providing us with the magic of dancing flames. And we made arrangements for Bryson’s to help us find it a happy new home. Morsø, it’s been wonderful and we wish you all the best as you embark on your new adventure.

Wow! End of an era. If circumstances were different I’d ask you to load it up on the back of your truck and bring it north so we could use it.

    Enjoy the new Empire stove!

Imperial War Museum

London’s Imperial War Museum in Southwark founded even as the First World War raged offers insights into the myriad costs of the wars of the 20th and 21st Centuries. It was a most disquieting but valuable reminder of the myriad costs of war.

London’s Canals

London’s Canals

The two of us have long been fascinated with the history of canals and their role in the history of transportation, industrialization, and more recently recreation. This stay in London has given us new opportunities to explore and learn more about how canals contributed to the growth of this great city and how they are being used and preserved today.

National Portrait Gallery

National Portrait Gallery

It was a most educational visit to the newly renovated National Portrait Gallery at Trafalgar Square in Central London. We were intrigued with the contemporary approach to presenting British History.
