It’s hard to believe that our decision to spend all of Memorial Day out of doors at home with our kids and friend Gary back in 1992, swimming in the pool, grilling out, playing games, and just relaxing, has turned into an annual gathering of family and friends. These days some folks travel long distances, from Florida, Ohio, Arkansas, Georgia. It has become a annual reunion of friends as well as a feast with many of the same foods on the menu year after year!
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
