Boondocking Trial

Road Trip

We’re taking the opportunity while we are parked in the driveway at Tween Creeks to put our electrical system through its paces. We’ve disconnected from shore power and run off of battery overnight then today we’ve had the solar panels out all day. We managed to collect enough to generate 20 aH in about five hours today. If need be we can always top off the battery with the Honda generator. Looks like we’ll be in good shape on the road!

Colorado – July 21, 2014 “We found a place we would have loved to camp – by Silver Lake – but for the fact that there was absolutely no one else around.”

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.

Caligula at Strawberry Hill

Caligula at Strawberry Hill

The purpose of our trek to Strawberry Hill House in Twickenham in the southwest of London was to see a recently recovered bronze bust of the Emperor Caligula but we discovered so much more in the recently restored 18th Century “little Gothic castle” built by Horace Walpole.
