Downtown Hazelwood, we discovered it during Mary’s post-Deck Day visit. Lunch at Bourbon Barrel Beef & Ale and decadent pastries at Nettie’s Bakery. Yum! Today the two of us returned for lunch at the Barrel. A Classic Reuben accompanied by a chilled Potato Leek Soup and Ribeye Philly with a side salad of greens and fruit. With a bit of willpower we managed to walk past the bakery but it wasn’t easy!
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
