It’s a day for some of the quintessential tastes of Cincinnati. This morning we shopped Kroger (a Cincinnati grocery chain) and got some Skyline Chili (a Cincinnati specialty) and some Glier’s Goetta (Okay, it’s true our Cincinnati born and bred mothers both always made goetta from scratch but the commercial variety is good too!) Then after lunch at Hyde Park we went with Aunt Mary to Graeter’s. All three of us indulged in some Black Raspberry Chip topped with Bittersweet. We were going to be good and have just one scoop until our very personable server Jenn convinced us that we really wanted two scoops each!
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
