Once upon a few decades ago Karen made some matching blue flannel shirts for the two of us. More than a dozen years ago CJ adopted Karen’s shirt. This photo of her wearing it was taken upstairs in our Woodlawn house was taken by her friend Emily on Leap Day 2004 and was recently posted to CJ’s Facebook account. Tonight Riley posed in Steve’s shirt while Dave shot a photo of her posing with a kitty who wasn’t quite so cooperative as Ferd was back then.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
