Due to the long running radio then television series Gunsmokewe are all familiar, or at least those of a certain age, with variations of the command uttered to villians to “Get out of Dodge.”  In Virginia City a committee of vigilantes organized to maintain law and order in this outpost of civilization. Wrong doers who found the numbers 3-7-77 painted on their cabin or tent knew that they had best leave town immediately or face swift and terrible justice. In our case, we haven’t been asked to leave but rather know that it’s time to move on to new adventures. But first a stop at the Nevada City Saloon for “one for the road”- coffee, that is!
