Wow, that was quite a blow! We set up last night under windy conditions and the blusteriness continued until after midnight. It buffeted the tent, rocked the T@B, and sent some cottonwood branches flying. Other than some frayed nerves and a tiny hole in the tent we sustained no damage. The morning weather was downright pleasant as we prepared breakfast, pulled up stakes, folded the tent, hitched the T@B to the truck and made ready to travel westward through the golden hills of Oregon.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
