Dominoes

Family

Saturday. Both girls have dance lessons but Peyton finished by 10 AM and was home by the time we arrived at the house. She, her Dad, and her grandparents have spent the last few hours playing games. Pass the Pigs. Peyton was scorekeeper! Then Dominoes. (We had to read the rules because none of us had actually played the game before although some of us have spent happy hours playing with domino tiles.) Followed by Go Fish then War. It really got rousing when we played four way War with four decks! Ultimately we ended up declaring Peyton the winner based on the height of her stack when we ran out of time. Now she and her Dad are on their way to pick up Riley then go get Peyton’s hair ready for her big date tonight while we grandparents rest up for tonight’s date with Riley. A fun note is that Peyton couldn’t find a top with a button front so she chose to wear the forty year old heirloom blue plaid flannel shirt that her Nana sewed for her Grandpop!

We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.

Wicked The Musical

In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
