As of this morning we are reestablishing our practice of building a fire on cool mornings and using the fireplace to heat the house. However now with this new gas stove, “building the fire” means hitting the On button on the remote! And we can also set the thermostat using the remote to keep the house at a comfortable temperature all day.  Neither of us plans on missing the old routines of log splitting and stacking, firewood toting, fire tending, or fireplace cleaning!

It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
