T@Bin Fever

2016 Out West, Road Trip

It looks promising this morning. The weather app suggests no rain for at least the next two hours!  How wonderful! We spent all afternoon, all evening, and all night tucked inside our cozy T@B with its clamshell kitchen while thunderstorms raged outside. We did get out for a bit in the late afternoon to talk with folks who actually saw lightning strike the tree in a neighboring campsite!  But then we tucked back in, enjoyed more no cooking needed food and drink, read our books, watched some movies, utilized our comfort facilities, and stayed in until this morning. It rained and rained with thunder and lightning but we were comfortable through it all. This morning we have new neighbors nearby, puddles all around the camper, gray skies, and no rain. Our hope is to prepare a hot breakfast, clean up, pack up, hitch up, park the T@B in the overflow lot without getting rained on. From there we will head to Midas, drop off the truck, then find things to do within walking range until Eric is deemed road worthy.

Wicked The Musical

Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
