Twisted Time Warp

2016 Out West, Road Trip

Five of us piled into Dave’s as yet unnamed sparkly blue Jeep Patriot and headed out on an adventure reminiscent of so many of our family adventures in Big Red, our 1978 Jeep Cherokee. As we rolled we rocked to Walk the Moon, The Kingsmen, Cindy Lauper, The Cranberries, Heart, Beastie Boys, The Monkees, Pharrell, Fugees, Counting Crows, and more. We stopped for doughnuts at Giant Eagle and beverages at Starbucks to be consumed as we traveled on to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. As members Dave and the girls visit fairly frequently but it was our first visit to this amazing place. So many memories and opportunities to learn so much more.

So much fun to come along on a family adventure with well established traditions that remind of family adventures a generation ago!

Imperial War Museum

Imperial War Museum

London’s Imperial War Museum in Southwark founded even as the First World War raged offers insights into the myriad costs of the wars of the 20th and 21st Centuries. It was a most disquieting but valuable reminder of the myriad costs of war.

London’s Canals

London’s Canals

The two of us have long been fascinated with the history of canals and their role in the history of transportation, industrialization, and more recently recreation. This stay in London has given us new opportunities to explore and learn more about how canals contributed to the growth of this great city and how they are being used and preserved today.

National Portrait Gallery

National Portrait Gallery

It was a most educational visit to the newly renovated National Portrait Gallery at Trafalgar Square in Central London. We were intrigued with the contemporary approach to presenting British History.
