Autumn in the Cove

Family

The tree in our neighbors’ front yard is always rather outspoken as to what the season is. It’s bare in winter, gloriously white in spring, lusciously green in summer, and blazingly orange at the peak of autumn!  When we see the leaves beginning to carpet the grass under the tree we know winter’s just around the corner. It’s a good time to be here, watching the season change, enjoying the moderate temperatures, clearing the leaves from our own deck and driveway, keeping appointments, running errands, and savoring life in our little mountain neighborhood.
