Eleven of us just polished off an incredible Thanksgiving feast. Linus was invited to participate but preferred to play independently in the next room. The rest of us feasted on turkey, dressing, two kinds of cranberries, garlic mashed potatoes, gravy, bacon laced brussel sprouts, acorn squash, green beans almondine, several different wines and other libations. We’re now paused for a bit. Some of us are relaxing by the fire, some are doing fun things outside, and a couple are doing a bit of cleanup. Soon we will all reconvene for apple and pumpkin pies topped with real whipped cream.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
