It’s probably the last gorgeous day of fall, tomorrow promises to be cold and windy enough to blow the last of the autumn leaves to the ground. We left the house just after breakfast with a long list of things to do. We’re now arriving home in the dark with only a portion of the list accomplished because things always take longer than planned. We only got one errand run before meeting a friend at Trailhead Cafe in Waynesville. We loved lingering over lunch but soon were back working on and adding to the list. When we discovered that Best Buy had the iPhone we’d been seeking we took the time to trade in our older one to get this one with an awesome camera. We also seized the opportunity to get a haircut and to shop Belk’s for some clothing essentials and new duffle bags for next week’s trip. We did accomplish a lot but there’s still a lot left that will have to wait until Monday…
Winter Magic in Medina
By deliberate choice we were in Medina for all the winter holiday festivities from Candlelight Walk in the days before Thanksgiving through A Christmas Carol and A Celtic Christmas as well as an Alex Bevan Concert and a historic house tour all the way through Medina’s 31st Ice Festival but perhaps the highlight was the town hosting hundreds of folks whose homes and lives were devasted by Hurricane Helene at the A Promise of Christmas Event the middle of January. It’s an honor to be a part of this amazing community!
