Back to Blue Skies

Road Trip

Overcast skies seemed to dominate our visit to Ohio. There were frigid days with ice on the sidewalk and crunchy snow in the yard and some days warm enough to melt all that, providing us with dry roads for our departure, but we never saw blue skies for more than a few minutes at a time so the crisp blue skies above Tween Creeks is a treat. We enjoyed a somewhat leisurely and uneventful trip home punctuated by an overnight in a Comfort Inn in Beckley WV. It seemed weird traveling without a T@B behind us and to be looking for a hotel rather than a campground! Now we’re back at our house for a few days. Time to unpack the truck, repack Gigi, and pack our duffles for the Caribbean. First order of business though is to chill out with some Christmas music and a seasonal movie or two!

Cozumel & Grand Cayman

Cozumel & Grand Cayman

Aboard the Norwegian Jewel we’ve made stops in Cozumel, Mexico and Georgetown, Grand Cayman to explore beyond our previous experiences here. Soon we’ll be making our way to ports we’ve not yet explored in the Southern Caribbean.

Winter Magic in Medina

Winter Magic in Medina

By deliberate choice we were in Medina for all the winter holiday festivities from Candlelight Walk in the days before Thanksgiving through A Christmas Carol and A Celtic Christmas as well as an Alex Bevan Concert and a historic house tour all the way through Medina’s 31st Ice Festival but perhaps the highlight was the town hosting hundreds of folks whose homes and lives were devasted by Hurricane Helene at the A Promise of Christmas Event the middle of January. It’s an honor to be a part of this amazing community!
