Beginning the New Year

Family

Instead of making New Years resolutions, we choose to do the kinds of things on New Years Day that we want to do all year long. We that in mind we accepted an invitation to brunch with our up the mountain neighbors this morning. It was exceedingly pleasant to share food with friends and to linger over coffee exchanging tales of grandkids and travel adventures and hatching plans for adventures together as we sat inside near their cozy hearth watching the fog swirl outside. Things we still want to do today include preparing for the next travel adventure, phone and FaceTime conversations with family, a little bit of hobby work, and of course a nap!
