To celebrate Steve’s birthday today, we headed into town. We ran a few fun errands in Sylva. We stopped by Bryson’s to collect the proceeds from the sale of our Morsø wood stove. At Harry Alter Rare Books we sold some early 20th Century Books then stopped by Friends of the Library and donated a few more books. At Livingston’s we bartered some vintage photo equipment for an art framing. Then on to Waynesville and a yummy lunch at Bourbon Barrel Beef and dessert at Jack the Dipper!
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
