Off the Beaten Path

Road Trip

After a month long sojourn at Tween Creeks, we’re back on the road for a few days. We’ve traveled US-441/US-129 through Athens and Gray to Macon countless times through the years. It’s our method of avoiding Atlanta traffic. But we’ve always taken the bypass around Eatonville. This time we decided to check out Smiths Coastal Grill in downtown Eatonville for dinner. Wow!  Great food and a comfortable eclectric atmosphere. If we lived nearer we’d haunt this place on a rgular basis. Thanks, Yelp! for leading us here. Now onto Perry where we have hotel reservations tonight.

We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
