Another benefit of our detour to Texas, is our first opportunity to help our niece Rebecca celebrate her birthday! In keeping with family tradition she got to choose the location and timing for a celebratory meal. Her choice was brunch at Black Walnut Cafe with her mother, mother-in-law, and the two of us! Yum! She made an excellent choice! Now she’s heading home to work on a paper for school and we and are Patti bound for Harris to hang out with Dad.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
