Out of the House

Family

Time to get out! For us it’s been a beautiful afternoon to be out and about after several days of rain and spending long hours on the sorting, scanning, writing project. This morning we come to a stopping point, packed up the unscanned photos, gathered up the ones that have been scanned and labeled and headed into town. Eagle Pack and Ship boxed these family treasures and saw them onto the FedEx truck. They are out of our house and on the way to the Museum Closet at Karen’s sister’s house. We also printed out copies of the first draft for the family history video and sent them off to select family members for additions and corrections, dropped a few more slides off for scanning, got a haircut, then headed home. Time to get ready for houseguests and a quick weekend trip!

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
