Bittersweet Journey

Road Trip

Today we hitched up Gigi for our final journey together. It’s been a glorious four years as we have traveled these forty-eight contiguous states with her. She’s facilitated so many adventures and the opportunity to make so many friends. It’s been with a degree of sadness that we have removed our US map and stickers from her exterior, taken down the family pictures from the interior, emptied her drawers and cupboards, and cleaned and readied her to be able to welcome her new owners in to an opportunity to travel and experience the wonders that we’ve experienced with Gigi. We’ll make our way north along I-75 through Cincinnati today and tomorrow morning arrive at Haydocy RV in Columbus.

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
