This morning we took our time with our departure allowing time for the Cincinnati traffic to settle down a bit then made our way to Holzman’s in Montgomery where Bill & Dove procured brats for our upcoming Sunday before Deck Day dinner. Then we headed south through Kentucky, Tennessee, and now North Carolina. One last rest stop here at the welcome cener. We plan a dinner in Sylva then home to unpack, do laundry, repack, and head out again in the morning.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
