Connecting in Waynesville

2017 New England, Road Trip

Stop number one on our Summer Ramble is lunch with Sharon & Paul at Fat Buddies in Waynesville NC. We four became friends in the early 1980’s and our older children were playmates. In the early 1990’s we were neighbors and our younger children were best buddies. As our lives got busier and distances greater we saw less of each other but the friendships endure. Now they have a summer home not far from Tween Creeks. The irony is that our schedules are opposite so we have to treasure the few opportunities we have to visit. Inspired by our T@B-CS, they recently have been looking at the nüCamp line of teardrop trailers and after lunch toured our new 400. With the tow vehicle they recently purchased and the kinds of travel they are considering, a T@G might be their ticket to adventure!

In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
