Sunday Brunch with special people. Five of us gathered on the patio of The Brown Dog Cafe for a delectable meal and leisurely visit. The cafe is a part of the new Blue Ash community complex located on the site of the former Blue Ash airport. We checked out another delicious interpretation of the poutine, this one with egg, beef baracoa, and three cheese sauce atop the classic fries, cheese curds, and gravy as well as a platter of ala carte items including a generous slab of that Cincinnati specialty, Goetta! It was a most satisfying meal and visit. Fortunately the cafe has a generous amount of seating so even on a busy summer Sunday we were welcome to linger at the table. And there was plenty of seating in the central courtyard inviting us to linger longer on this beautiful day.
Imperial War Museum
London’s Imperial War Museum in Southwark founded even as the First World War raged offers insights into the myriad costs of the wars of the 20th and 21st Centuries. It was a most disquieting but valuable reminder of the myriad costs of war.
