Leaving Lebanon

Family

Today we move on after five days here at the Cincinnati NE KOA. It’s been a nice visit to the Queen City and environs. Our adventures have taken us from Delhi and Price Hill on the west to Mt Lookout and Hyde Park on the east and Blue Ash, Mason, and Lebanon to the north. We enjoyed visits with Uncle Neil, Pat, Carol & Joe, Tom & Kathy, Brian, Gail, Lynne, Peggy, David, and Aunt Mary. We took advantage of the big city for some goods and services more difficult to fond elsewhere. We enjoyed some of the unique Cincinnati cuisine at local chains and at some great indie spots. We visited a few of The area’s famous landmarks and some locations of more personal interest.  For instance when we shopped at REI last evening, we were in close proximity to the location where Karen’s Dad lived when he was in Eighth Grade. We know that before that he lived on a farm outside Lebanon. Unfortunately we don’t know enough about its location to be able to find it these many decades later!

Burgh House Hampstead

Burgh House Hampstead

Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.

Wicked The Musical

Wicked The Musical

Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
