It must have been the Eighth of July. We were traveling south along The Trace in Land Between the Lakes we saw a Corvette Caravan heading north.  There wasn’t enough time to grab the camera but a web search yielded a YouTube video of a 2014 Corvette Caravan in much the same location and the information that the 35th Annual Corvette Homecoming will be in nearby Bowling Green next weekend.  Did you know that the Corvette is the State Car of Kentucky?Â
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
