What better way to celebrate a pleasant summer evening in downtown Bloomington than with incredible ice cream? In the company of our favorite locals we directed our steps in the direction of Hartzell’s Ice Cream  a family run business that produces amazing ice cream. We were clued in to consider their Signature Flavors and thus we tried the Chocolate Basil and the Salted Caramel (also got a little taste of the Cinnamon) and walked to the little city park across Dunn Street to sit and savor the deliciousness of both the ice cream and the lingering summer evening.
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
