Spring Valley

2017 New England, Ohio, Road Trip

Today was a travel day but not too long a one. We lingered in Lebanon for a while. Gave a T@B-400 tour. Made some phone calls. Got on the road by noon. Made a couple of stops. At a rest area we found a geocache that had previously eluded us! We chose Spring Valley Campground near Cambridge OH on the recommendation of a friend. Our 400 attracted attention and we gave a tour at check in. Then neighbors expressed an interest and we gave yet another tour after we finished setting up. Because of our current proximity to Sugarcreek one of the couples who expressed an interest today may actually go to nüCamp and request a factory tour. That’s one of the features of traveling in an extraordinary camper, you will attract attention. We welcome the attention and often use it as a way to learn more about the area!

Imperial War Museum

Imperial War Museum

London’s Imperial War Museum in Southwark founded even as the First World War raged offers insights into the myriad costs of the wars of the 20th and 21st Centuries. It was a most disquieting but valuable reminder of the myriad costs of war.

London’s Canals

London’s Canals

The two of us have long been fascinated with the history of canals and their role in the history of transportation, industrialization, and more recently recreation. This stay in London has given us new opportunities to explore and learn more about how canals contributed to the growth of this great city and how they are being used and preserved today.

National Portrait Gallery

National Portrait Gallery

It was a most educational visit to the newly renovated National Portrait Gallery at Trafalgar Square in Central London. We were intrigued with the contemporary approach to presenting British History.
