Granite Hill Grill Night

2017 New England, Pennsylvania, Road Trip

Granite Hill Camping Resort is just a few miles outside Gettysburg and we’re on Site 35 off in a corner all by ourselves for the next two nights before the Labor Day weekend begins, the last big camping weekend at the end of summer. Tonight is grill night. We brought out the Esbit folding grill and got a charcoal fire going. Now we’re grilling chicken tenders. Next we’ll sear some steaks. We eat a bit of the grilled meat tonight then use the rest of it in various salads and other lunches and dinners over the next few days. The last use of the coals tonight will be to burn some papers, since we don’t carry a paper shredder in the T@B!

We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.

In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
