Cook’s Lobster House

2017 New England, Maine, Road Trip

Any trip to Maine needs to include an incredible seaside meal of lobster. A friend in Florida gave us directions to Cook’s Lobster House on a spit of land on the north end of Bailey Island south of Brunswick overlooking Casco Bay. We headed there today for a midday feast overlooking the docks where the  lobster are unloaded. We both ordered the Hot Lobster Roll. Chunks of lobster meat nestled with some lettuce inside a grilled bun served with drawn butter and with chips and slaw on the side. Total decadence! An absolute delight for the taste buds. But then we had to top it off with Jan’s award winning Blueberry Pie. The filling was amazing. Maine blueberries have such an intense blueberry flavor and then to be encased in flaky pastry and topped with premium vanilla ice cream. Wow! And fabulous service and a view of the world famous Cribstone Bridge!

Wicked The Musical

Wicked The Musical

Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
