Doyle Goes to School

Family

It’s been a fun weekend hanging out with Linus and his parents. We visited The Blarney Stone for lunch one day, walked to Ashmont Farmers Market another day. We noshed on fresh strawberries, homemade pumpkin pie, fresh baked bread and butter, and hot apple pie. We read books about hiking and building cabins in the woods. Then this morning Linus found a stuffed bear waiting for adoption. Doyle came from the Shenandoah Mountains looking for a boy who likes to hike. He rode to Linus’ first day of school in the backpack where Linus presented his teacher with a purple hydrangea!

Caligula at Strawberry Hill

Caligula at Strawberry Hill

The purpose of our trek to Strawberry Hill House in Twickenham in the southwest of London was to see a recently recovered bronze bust of the Emperor Caligula but we discovered so much more in the recently restored 18th Century “little Gothic castle” built by Horace Walpole.
