Minus a Few

Family

Epiphany has passed. It’s time to dismantle our lovely Christmas tree and pack up all the seasonal decorations. We both really enjoyed immersing ourselves in all things Christmas. The tree lights and Christmas Instrumental music were on all day every day from the Saturday after Thanksgiving until Epiphany. It helped to soothe our souls and to cheer us through some amazingly cold weather. As we pack up the ornaments we’re laughing again about a hilarious moment we had while decorating the tree that resulted in several of our vintage glass ornaments being crushed and the two of us belly laughing long and hard. We’ll use the extra space in the boxes for a few fragile non-glass ornaments as we pack these treasures up to live on a top shelf until it’s time to brighten our lives and trigger our memories again. Happy New Year!

Wicked The Musical

Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
