This evening we enjoyed a rare treat, dinner with our three offspring! Once upon a time it was a nightly event, a tradition we truly treasured, but time moves on and eventually kids leave their childhood home and establish their own families and traditions. Now these three live in three different states. We get to visit each of them and their families on a regular basis and we gather for special events every so often. What was unique about this dinner was that it was the first time since probably 2003 that it was just we five for dinner. And we gathered at Fourth Street Shrimp Store, a quintessentially old Florida seafood joint and a perennial favorite for all of us. Thanks, kids, for a wonderful evening.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
Great picture!
