Bookend Cousins

Family

What a delightful surprise! A second visit with our niece Emily in less than a week! She’s interning in the Porthouse Theater costume shop this summer which gives her opportunity to visit with her Cousin Dave and his daughters on occasion. These two are the oldest and the youngest of the grandchildren of Karen’s parents. They grew up in the same neighborhood but by the time Emily was old enough to be aware, Dave was already living in Ohio. It’s a great side benefit of this summer job that she is able to spend time with some of her far flung family!

Burgh House Hampstead

Burgh House Hampstead

Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week.
