Travel Traditions

2018 Northeast, Road Trip

Although today’s departure wasn’t until afternoon we still stopped for a pre-departure meal at Bojangles. Usually we indulge in a breakfast biscuit sandwich but this time the sandwiches were grilled chicken. From there we headed to Wytheville and a KOA with which we are very familiar. And in another nod to our travel traditions we dined on Hunt Brother’s pizza prepared on site. Usually we have it delivered to our campsite but with today’s later arrival we picked it up in the Fun Center and brought it back to our campsite to enjoy our repast at the picnic table covered in our new tablecloth. Our Summer Ramble has begun!

Burgh House Hampstead

Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history.
