During the time the family lived in Blue Ash the two of us were already engaged to be married and we were both finishing up our professional studies in Florida. The one significant landmark for us was the family home. It was here in 1973 that Karen’s parents hosted our wedding reception surrounded not only by parents, siblings and Karen’s grandparents but aunts, uncles, and cousins on both sides. It was a glorious gathering. And it was from here that we ventured down the sidewalk and the steps, while being pelted with rice, to a balloon filled car to attempt our getaway and begin our life together!
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
How about a wedding album on your “albums” list? We’ve only seen a peek or two, lots more would be fun!
