CJ’s Bar and Grill

2018 West, Road Trip, Wisconsin

It’s our first foray into Door County, Wisconsin. We secured a campsite at Bayshore County Park in Brown County, just a little south of the Door County line. One nice thing about this park is that half the sites are First Come so you can stand a good chance of getting a place without a reservation! We set up on Site 78 snd completed our self registration paperwork then went in search of a restaurant. Yelp! suggested that Sherwood Point Grill might be a good choice. We arrived at CJ’s Bar & Grill which matched the description and menu and enjoyed great steak sandwiches! A bonus was a geocache find nearby. After dinner we poked around in Sturgeon Bay and considered spontaneously stopping for an outdoor concert but ultimately opted to return to our pleasant campsite for quiet time and sn early evening.

National Portrait Gallery

It was a most educational visit to the newly renovated National Portrait Gallery at Trafalgar Square in Central London. We were intrigued with the contemporary approach to presenting British History.

Bletchley Park

Bletchley Park

It was at Bletchley Park that the Allied Codebreakers deciphered German military messages during the Second World War. A free guided tour gave us a good overview of the campus and the activities that occurred here from 1938 to 1945.

Fenton House and Spaniards Inn

Fenton House and Spaniards Inn

A lovely way to spend a Sunday in Hampstead. We visited the historic Fenton House to view lots of lovely collectibles, to listen to and learn about harpsicords, and to tour and linger in the garden before heading off to the historic Spaniard’s Inn for a most delectable Sunday Roast.
