After a long and exciting day of travel we pulled into the driveway of the delightfully modern Ballina Townhouse that is ours for the night and met Christian, our host who suggested that Crockets as a nice spot for dinner. He steered us in a great direction, a gastropub with good food, drink, and friendly service! Lou learned that drinking a Guinness product can be something other than stout, such as Hop House 13, a crisp lager. We were delighted with the variety of traditional and chef driven culinary offerings and with the walk along the quay across the way!
Bletchley Park
It was at Bletchley Park that the Allied Codebreakers deciphered German military messages during the Second World War. A free guided tour gave us a good overview of the campus and the activities that occurred here from 1938 to 1945.
