This afternoon we visited the Grand Coulee Dam Visitors Center. When we visited here ten years ago our focus was on the guided tour of the Third Power Plant. This time we watched the video documenting the process of construction of what was then the largest dam in the world then wandered through the center learning more about the many considerations that must be taken into account in the management of a dam with purposes of power generation, flood control, and irrigation and the effects it has on the environment and recreation as well as the power grid.
